Gay Marriage..?

About 4 years ago, a striking event occurred when Barack Obama was elected. This was clearly a shock, not because the nation had decided to elect a democrat but because this man is black. A century ago these black African American were slaves and strongly believe to be stupid. Now, one of the most powerful nation in the world is ran by a black man. To come this far proves to anthropologist that humans are still evolving, that we have not reached are max potential. Sadly currently no one can tell whether we will be able to reach our max potential as we are slowly killing the only home we have, Earth. However, this is a debate to be discussed next. It was believed that gay was a disease; churches of all kinds refused and banned all gays. It was not normal to be gay and certainly god would never make such humans. Or would he?

As we might all know from the media, the United States are currently debating the rights to gay marriage. To my opinion this debate is long due, as we came into the 20^th century people have come to accept the unacceptable and have open their minds to questions where in the past were not debatable. To my knowledge I call this evolution, whether this is self-evolution for some we hope as community, nation, world to all evolve in the same direction. We have come to this era where younger men and women are finally speaking out their beliefs, and not shying away from authority, which is mostly ran by elderly ones who have fixed, narrowed and determined minds.  That to say it was useful during WWII, however we evolve. The gay marriage debate is striking and moving to us bystander, to see the new generation, young and full of hopes and prospects not stepping down and finally forcing the community, the nation, and the world to evolve.
